"This decision is truly beyond our control": the Maxim'Arts exhibition and sale was interrupted this Friday evening in Sainte-Maxime.

"This decision is truly beyond our control": the Maxim'Arts exhibition and sale was interrupted this Friday evening in Sainte-Maxime.

Maxim'Arts has occupied the Maxime Moreau space since Tuesday. As is the case every year, members' creations were exhibited there, and some were also put up for sale, normally until Sunday evening.

Unfortunately, a huge hiccup put an end to this very beautiful exhibition last night.

The association's president, Jacqueline Ferrero, explains: "There was a mix-up with the municipality's cultural department regarding the dates. We were forced to interrupt our exhibition, which closed its doors permanently this Friday evening. This decision was truly beyond our control, and we deeply regret it."

Armchairs elegantly revisited by the furniture restoration workshop, paintings on porcelain and silk, paintings including very creative watercolors, cardboard, sewing, lampshades, crochet, macramé: in total, nearly 400 creations had to be hastily packed up, to the great dismay of the members and the Maxim'Arts office... Their disappointment is immense!

The cultural department has most likely canceled the boxing gala scheduled for tonight at the Théâtre de la Mer. The Espace Moreau serves as a locker room for the boxers, which explains the exhibition's premature end...

Maxim'Arts is now looking ahead to next season. "We're going to take some time to reflect on how we'll celebrate the tenth anniversary of our association, which has around sixty members this year."

Activities will resume on September 8, with the Associations Forum taking place the day before. "We have also scheduled an open house on September 12, at our premises located at 29 Boulevard de la Paix. "
